Dr. Kayleigh Marlin, DVM
Veterinarian
Dr. Kayleigh Marlin grew up in Orange County before moving to Colorado for nine years, where she enjoyed life at 5000 feet while completing her undergraduate and veterinary medicine studies at Colorado State University. She returned to Orange County following graduation in May 2021, where she worked elsewhere before starting at Baker Bristol in November 2022. Dr. Marlin lives in Anaheim with her Siberian Huskies and her cat. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, kayaking, reading, and dog training and competitions. As a veterinarian, Dr. Marlin has special interest in multimodal pain management, behavior, and dentistry; she is also excited to further explore reproductive medicine and exotics. She looks forward to getting to know you and your pets!
Dr. Elizabeth Wood obtained her undergraduate degrees in Ecology & Evolutionary Biology and Environmental Studies from the University of California Santa Cruz. She attended veterinary school at Western University of Health Sciences. She has experience working with small animals, exotics, wildlife, and zoo animals throughout California, Oregon, Washington D.C., Costa Rica, Namibia, and Midway Atoll. Dr. Wood deeply enjoys working with pets of all species. She is also very passionate about wildlife conservation and is the Medical Director at the Wetlands and Wildlife Care Center in Huntington Beach. She lives in Huntington Beach with her partner Patrick, their three dogs, and a California desert tortoise. She loves traveling, camping, kayaking, and outdoor adventures.

After almost 40 years, Dr. Wayne Kopit retired in December 2023. He graduated from the U.C. Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in 1984. He then completed a rotating internship in radiology, internal medicine and surgery at the California Animal Hospital in 1985. Dr. Kopit purchased Brook-Ellis Pet Hospital in 1985 from his father, Dr. Harold Kopit. He comes from a family of veterinarians including his father and two of his three brothers, and his wife, Dr. Diane Steinberg. In addition to dogs and cats, he has a special interest in non-venomous reptile and small mammal medicine and surgery as well as other small mammals.

Fidel began working at Brook-Ellis Pet Hospital in August of 1995. He started in the veterinary field through ROP classes in high school. When he isn’t at work, he enjoys fishing, BBQ’ing and archery. His favorite cat breed is the British Shorthair and his favorite breed of dog is the Brussels Griffon.
